Solution
Transvilles has set up a strategy to win back local customers. Their new approach to customer relationship management includes tools such as the new website, personalized communication on social networks, and new services at sales offices. Transvilles has also supported SIMOUV in its targeted pricing policy for the poorest (social fares) and young people (pass & go for the under-25s).
The RATP Dev venture has also boosted safety on its trams and buses through considerable restructuring.
Similarly, hands-on management is a priority to breathe new life and color into the system which includes tram, bus, self-service bicycles and free city-centre shuttles in the three main catchment areas of Valenciennes, Saint-Amand and Denain. The network has also set up a night line and express lines.
Transvilles has deep local roots through its cultural, athletic, and charitable endeavours. It partners with sports clubs for example Valenciennes Football Club (VAFC), Saint-Armand Handball Club (SAH) and Denain Voltaire Basketball Club. It also concretely bolsters local employment alongside the French Pôle Emploi unemployment agency, la Mission locale - Member body of service public pour l'emploi - and its client SIMOUV in particular to make access to transport easier for job-seekers.
Transvilles supports sustainable and innovative mobility through a partnership with Institut des Mobilités et Transports Durables (IMTD) and Transalley, a technology centre for sustainable and innovative mobility.
Along with RATP Dev and the RATP Group Foundation, the operator also entered a partnership with the ENSIAME school of engineering and the Rubika school of design. It funds scholarships and bursaries and runs a mentoring program for three students selected from the university. Now that's how mobility goes hand in hand with solidarity!
