Despite progress made on some negotiations, RATP Dev London regrets that strike action continues to go ahead on certain routes.
We made a pay offer to Unite in February 2020 and, following both parties’ inability to continue negotiations due to the pandemic, recommenced negotiations in September. Despite the very challenging business environment and its economic position, RATP Dev London has continued to seek a fair resolution with Unite. RATP Dev London has been making significant losses since 2019 and is receiving support from RATP Group. It expects further losses in 2021.
In these difficult circumstances, RATP Dev London has gone above and beyond what the company can do to make the best possible offer to staff and Unite early this week.
The company is encouraged by progress towards a resolution on other affected routes.
Securing the long-term viability of the business is of paramount importance to RATP Dev London. We will continue to work with our stakeholders to that effect, and to achieve a mutually beneficial outcome for all concerned.
We apologise again to passengers for the inconvenience and disruption to journeys.
